 Holi is a riot of colors-  at the beginning of spring, it’s a vibrant and unique festival all over the world. The celebration of Holi is as grand and spectacular as its story itself, which is closely associated with beautiful colors, chants and the prayer of deities.

Holi is a perfect amalgamation of rituals, traditions & devotion

Rajasthan: 
Rajasthan is an epitome of colors, history, tradition, culture, and royalty. The unique feature of the celebration of Holi can be experienced by Gair Holi in Ajmer, Brij Holi in Bharatpur and Mali Holi in Ajmer.
Amidst of the fragrant shower of Gulal, about 12 different villages celebrate Gair Holi with singing and folk dancing in the beats of drums, dhol wearing bright, ceremonial attire.


In Bharatpur, Brij Holi was started back in the 18th century by Raja Surajmal. This traditional spirit and the excitement of Holi is still equally admired by the participation of people. You can experience singing, dancing and stage performances of Radha-Krishna saga where men and women are dressed up in festive finery.
Mali Holi marks Brother- Hood within Mali community which is a customary “Lath Mar”  event where women playfully beat men with bamboo sticks filled with great splendour and merry.


The hub of royal festivals and celebration, Rajasthan celebrates Holi in a most eloquent way- a royal elephant festival. Elephants are groomed and caparisoned for a magnificent parade through the streets of Jaipur.

Mathura and Vrindavan:
Mathura, the birthplace of Lord Krishna has been always symbolic and major world tourists and pilgrims. Vrindavan celebrates Radha-Krishna Leela with its colorful flowers, Gulal, and musical performances. Near Dwarakadheesh Temple, Holi is celebrated with great fervor and spectacular musical procession.


Shantiniketan:
The cultural extravaganza of Holi, popularly known as ‘Vasanta Utsav’ at Shantiniketan university built by Rabindranath Tagore attracts a large number of spectators from everywhere. The essence and aesthetic beauty of Vasanta Utsav been showcased with musical performances, stage shows and playing abeer among the crowd.

Unsung Hero of Uzbekistan- Hamza Hakimzade Niyazi

The life of Uzbek poet and composer Hamza Hakimzade Niyazi (1889–1929), a prominent figure who facilitated socialist reform in the Uzbek republic and helped to elevate the Uzbek language to literary status.
